DreamHack has announced that the upcoming Open event in Leipzig will have a prize fund of $100,000. DreamHack's 2016 circuit will kick off with the Swedish company's very first event on German soil, to be held at the Leipzig Trade Fair from January 22-24. Six spots in the tournament will be filled through invites, one of which will go to a German team, while the remaining two places will be determined by online qualifiers. The $100,000 prize pool - more than double the $40,000 that were at stake at this year's Open events that had no involvement with the FACEIT League Finals and the major in Cluj-Napoca - highlights DreamHack's commitment to Counter-Strike for 2016. DH Open Leipzig will kick off with a double-elimination group stage, with a mixture of best-of-one and best-of-three maps, leading up to the best-of-three, single-elimination playoffs. More information about the online qualifiers will be released shortly by DreamHack. Tickets for the German event can be purchased here.
